About Us

 Welcome to Troop 876!

Troop 876 was officially established on February 2nd, 2019. As one of the first all girl BSA troops in America, we had some big expectations to live up to.

We started scouting right away with our first campout at Prince William Forest that very weekend. Since then we've hiked throughout the Appalachians, visited historic battlefields, canoed and rafted the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, attended summer camp at Ottari and Camp Rock Enon, backpacked at Philmont Scout Reservation and in the Trinity Alps of California, and so much more.

Troop 876 started out with 12 members and has grown to 28. We welcome budding scouts from across the Colonial area to attend our meetings, and the scouts welcome visitors with a smile and invitation to join for our next adventure.

We have girls at all different steps in their scouting journey, from the Scout rank to Eagle Scout and everything in between. Our more seasoned scouts are always happy to help guide new members whenever they need help.

We are very lucky to have the support of Wesley United Methodist Church, who generously house our meetings and gear. To give thanks we help out whenever we can, doing service projects and assisting with Scout Sunday.

Our troop is "scout led", meaning the scouts choose, plan, and run the activities. Adults are always present to ensure safety, but the meetings, camp outs, and all events are organized and led by the scouts.

Our troop is proud to be a part of Scouts BSA.
