About Us

 Welcome to Troop 876 G!

Troop 876 was officially established on February 2nd, 2019. As one of the first all girl BSA troops in America, we had some big expectations to live up to.

We started scouting right away with our first campout at Prince William forest that very weekend, and since we've hiked Signal Knob, visited historic battlefields, atttended summer camp at Ottari, and so much more.

Troop 876 started out with 12 members, and since then we've expanded to 18. We welcome budding scouts from across the Colonial area to attend our meetings, and the scouts welcome new members with open arms.

We have girls at all different steps in their scouting journey, from the Scout rank to First Class and everything in between. Our more seasoned scouts are always happy to help guide new members whenever they need help.

We are very lucky to have the support of Wesley United Methodist Church, who generously house our meetings and gear. To give thanks we help out whenever we can, doing service projects and assisting with Scout sunday.

Our troop is "girl run girl lead", meaning our troop is run by the scouts, not the adults. Though adults are always present to keep the girls safe, meetings, camp outs, and events are organized and lead by the scouts.

Our troop is proud to be apart of Scouts BSA, and we look forward to many more years of scouting.
